MADDIE is one of my favorite production. I designed the original concept, and continued through the series production as production designer for this 40 episode CG animated series for Nickelodeon from 2015-2020, with Sony Animation, formerly Silvergate Media. I managed the pitch process, from character concept work, maquette production, and pitch document. It was green-lit directly into production by Nickelodeon - a rare thing. I designed all main characters and initial sets. From that, I extracted a design language and style pack for the Canadian studio design department. Throughout the series, I oversaw all of the Canadian studio output to maintain the design language and palette of the show. I was responsible for the production design of all wardrobe, set design, prop, character, and texturing for 40 x 22 minute CG animated series.
